Basketball Recap: Walkerville Takes a Loss

Walkerville lost against Pentwater back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Walkerville Wildcats took a blow against the Pentwater Falcons, falling 86-22. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 744th, while the Falcons are ranked 265th).

Walkerville's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Pentwater, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season.

Looking ahead, Walkerville is taking a road trip to square off against Holton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pentwater, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Shelby at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pentwater has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
