Basketball Recap: Chickasaw Triumphs

Chickasaw's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats 38-35. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 48-28 last Saturday.

Armani Coleman and Logan Stephenson certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Coleman went 6 for 14 on her way to 17 points, while Stephenson went 5 of 12 en route to 14 points and five steals. Stephenson has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Madisen Gable also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Chickasaw is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for St. Luke's Episcopal, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.

As of now, neither Chickasaw nor St. Luke's Episcopal have any future games scheduled.
