Baseball Game Preview: Bluffton Bobcats vs. Beaufort Eagles

Bluffton and Beaufort are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Bobcats will take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bluffton has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight losses, while Beaufort will come in with four straight victories.

On Friday, Bluffton came up short against Bishop England and fell 9-4.

Bluffton saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Wolfe, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. The Bobcats are 4-2 when Wolfe posts two or more runs, but 8-10 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Beaufort won against Colleton County on Wednesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Eagles blew past the Cougars 10-3.

Bluffton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Beaufort, the win got them back to even at 13-13.

Bluffton couldn't quite get it done against Beaufort in their previous matchup last Friday as they fell 8-3. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
