Baseball Recap: Alton Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

There's no place like home for Alton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They never let the Belleville East Lancers get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Redbirds: when they faced off against the Lancers on Tuesday, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Alton's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Belleville East, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 16-6.
