Baseball Game Preview: Moon Area Tigers vs. Upper St. Clair Panthers

For the second straight game, Moon Area will face off against Upper St. Clair. The Tigers will host the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Moon Area will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

If Moon Area beats Upper St. Clair with ten runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Tigers skirted past the Panthers 10-8.

Jack Ambrozic tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Savario Vandetti, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Thad Longwell was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Upper St. Clair's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Moon Area, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.
