Softball Game Preview: Tussey Mountain Titans vs. Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers

The Tussey Mountain Titans will take on the Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Berlin Brothersvalley took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Tussey Mountain, who comes in off a win.

Berlin Brothersvalley will be up against a hot Tussey Mountain squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Titans' way against Mount Union on Thursday as they made off with an 8-1 win.

Joslyn Raley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Tussey Mountain got a big performance out of Lydia Zdrosky, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Those stolen bases marked the first that Zdrosky snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Adyson Weyandt, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Berlin Brothersvalley was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They fell just short of Northern Garrett by a score of 2-1. The loss put an end to the Mountaineers' undefeated start to the season.

Sam Walker made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases.

Having lost for the first time this season, Berlin Brothersvalley fell to 2-1. As for Tussey Mountain, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-3.
