Melbourne entered their tilt with Yellville-Summit on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Panthers 16-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-2 back in March.

Maggie Pierson was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Adyson Gunther was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

Melbourne was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Melbourne's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Yellville-Summit, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.
