Signal Mountain extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping them up to 6-2. They were the clear victors by a 61-35 margin over the Chattanooga Central Pounders. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Eagles had established a 20-point advantage.

Signal Mountain was led to victory by Max Rackel and Dane McMillan. Rackel shot 50% from the field on his way to 15 points, while McMillan posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of John Zimmerman, who put up ten points and seven rebounds.

Signal Mountain was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

As for Chattanooga Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while Signal Mountain is ranked 78th).

Chattanooga Central's loss came despite strong showings from Kelijah Holmes and Perry Bates. Holmes scored 12 points, while Bates had nine points. Josiah Mitchell also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Signal Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 67-29 defeat against Baylor on the 13th. As for Chattanooga Central, they are taking a road trip to challenge Cleveland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
