Basketball Recap: MacArthur Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lawton last Friday, MacArthur came back down to earth. The MacArthur Highlanders lost 56-34 to the El Reno Indians on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Highlanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Indians are ranked 30th).

MacArthur has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for El Reno, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

MacArthur will welcome Carl Albert at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for El Reno, they will challenge Santa Fe South at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
