Baseball Recap: Martin Takes a Loss

Martin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Arlington Heights Yellowjackets.

Martin's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Arlington Heights, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Martin will head out on the road to challenge Trinity Valley at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Martin's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Trinity Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Arlington Heights, they will be taking part in a tournament against Benbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
