It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Woodward Academy can now relate to. They fell 66-55 to the Tri-Cities Bulldogs on Friday. The War Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Woodward Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Deke Cooper, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 17 points and five rebounds. Aaron Jackson also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Tri-Cities' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jalan Wingfield led the charge by dropping a double-double with 20 points and 22 boards. The dominant performance gave Wingfield a new career-high in rebounds. Sean Vandorn was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 18 points and nine boards.

Woodward Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 27-5. As for Tri-Cities, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season.
