Softball Recap: Dickinson Comes Up Short

Dickinson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 17-5 to the St. Dominic Academy Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-5 on April 8th.

Dickinson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ivelyss Gonzalez, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. That hit was Gonzalez's first of the season. Another was Rosi Almonte, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Dickinson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for St. Dominic Academy, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Dickinson will challenge rival Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, St. Dominic Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Snyder at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
