Football Recap: Crescent City Comes Up Short

Crescent City extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-4. They received a blow as they fell 24-7 to the Father Lopez Green Wave. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Green Wave apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

As for Father Lopez, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.0 points over those games.

Father Lopez found their leader in freshman Owen Albert, who rushed for 105 yards and one TD. Albert was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 56 yards.

Looking ahead, Crescent City will be playing in front of their home fans against Orlando Christian Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Father Lopez, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Orangewood Christian at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. The Green Wave will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.33 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
