Football Recap: Crescent City Takes a Loss

Something's probably wrong if your team accumulates more yards in penalties than offense, a fact Crescent City just learned the hard way. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 24-7 to the Father Lopez Green Wave. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Green Wave apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Father Lopez found their leader in freshman Owen Albert, who rushed for 105 yards and one touchdown. Albert showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 56 yards.

Crescent City is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Father Lopez, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Crescent City wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 71-21 loss against Orlando Christian Prep on the 3rd. As for Father Lopez, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Orangewood Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Green Wave will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.33 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
