Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cheyenne-Eagle Butte to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dayson Kennedy, who scored 19 points. Kennedy is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Damien Clown, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Cheyenne-Eagle Butte's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Wakpala, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
Cheyenne-Eagle Butte will head out on the road to challenge St. Francis Indian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte is coming into the contest with four straight wins on the road, so St. Francis Indian is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Wakpala, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Central at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Dakota (Wakpala is ranked 121st, while North Central is ranked 126th).
