Volleyball Recap: Linville Hill Comes Up Short

Linville Hill lost against Brandywine Heights Area back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Linville Hill fell just short of Brandywine Heights Area by a score of 3-2. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bullets 25-21 in the first set.

Linville Hill wouldn't go down easily and took Brandywine Heights Area into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-13, 20-25, 25-19, 15-13.

Reece Stoltzfus paced Linville Hill's offense, picking up 21 kills. Stoltzfus got some help from Dylan Stoltzfus and his 42 assists. Jordan Smoker controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Linville Hill and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Brandywine Heights Area, they pushed their record up to 1-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Linville Hill will head out on the road to face off against Lancaster Mennonite at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Brandywine Heights Area, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Schuylkill Valley at 6:00 p.m.
