Recap: Olympia Titans vs. Poinciana Eagles

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Olympia Titans's strategy against the Poinciana Eagles on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Olympia blew Poinciana out of the water with a 53-21 final score. That looming 53-21 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Olympia yet this season.

Arlinda Roundtree continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Aniyah Clark was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six steals and five assists.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Poinciana struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Olympia posted 12 assists.

The victory got Olympia back to even at 8-8. As for Poinciana, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-8.

Olympia will challenge South Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully South Lake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Monday. As for Poinciana, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Davenport at 6:30 p.m.
