Basketball Recap: Tulelake Takes a Loss

After soaring to 75 points the game before, Tulelake was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They took a blow against the Trinity Wolves, falling 80-24. The defeat continues a trend for the Honkers in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost seven in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wesley Dresselhaus, who shot 62% from the field to rack up 17 points and six steals. Dresselhaus is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ryker Robles, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards.

Tulelake's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Trinity, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Tulelake has already played their next matchup, a 66-33 defeat against Modoc on the 13th. As for Trinity, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 74-22 win against Fall River on the 12th.
