Softball Game Preview: Gateway Panthers vs. Satellite Scorpions

Gateway hasn't had much luck against Satellite recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers will face off against the Scorpions at 6:00 p.m. Neither Gateway nor Satellite posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Gateway fell victim to Harmony and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Longhorns, falling 15-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Satellite lost 21-1 to Melbourne Central Catholic on Monday. The Scorpions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Michaella Gaskins was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Gateway's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Satellite, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.

Gateway might still be hurting after the 16-0 loss they got from Satellite when the teams last played back in March of 2022. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
