Soccer Game Preview: Jefferson vs. Alameda

The Jefferson Saints will head out to face off against the Alameda Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Jefferson fell victim to The Pinnacle and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 5-0 to the Timberwolves.

Meanwhile, Alameda made easy work of Fort Lupton on Wednesday and carried off a 5-1 win. Alameda better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Alexa Andrade, as she scored every single goal for her team.

Alameda's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three games. As for Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Jefferson suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Alameda in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Saints avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
