Soccer Recap: Phoenix Academy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Phoenix Academy can now relate to. They came up short against the Summit Charter Bears on Thursday, falling 8-0. Carson Davis was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Phoenix Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14-1 record this season. As for Summit Charter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

Phoenix Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Summit Charter, they will square off against Triad Math and Science Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Summit Charter will need to watch out since Triad Math and Science Academy have now posted at least four goals in their last three contests.
