Softball Recap: Metropolitan Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Bronx, Metropolitan was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bronx United Pythons a 13-0 shutout. Considering Metropolitan has won ten contests by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Metropolitan has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Bronx United, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Metropolitan beat Bronx United by a score of 31-5 on Tuesday.
