Football Game Preview: Stratton Eagles vs. Eads Eagles + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Drew Fox and Karsten Buller are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Stratton will take on Eads at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eads took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Stratton, who comes in off a win.

Stratton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Otis, who was ranked 16th at the time (Stratton was ranked seventh). The Eagles managed a 22-16 win over the Bulldogs on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Eads suffered their biggest loss since September 20, 2024 on Friday. They were dealt a 60-18 defeat at the hands of Cheyenne Wells. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Eagles' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Despite the loss, Eads saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gaige Rittgers rushed for 76 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries. Rittgers' longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Stratton's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Eads, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Everything came up roses for Stratton against Eads when the teams last played back in November of 2022, as the team secured a 70-16 victory. In that contest, Stratton amassed a halftime lead of 63-16, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
