Football Recap: Somerset Falls Despite Big Games from Colt Hagans and Drew Miller + How To Watch

Somerset extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 2-7. They fell 35-28 to the Central Cambria Red Devils. The loss came about despite the Eagles having been up 21 in the second quarter.

Somerset's loss came despite strong showings from Drew Miller and Colt Hagans. Miller rushed for 109 yards and one score, while Hagans threw for 228 yards and three touchdowns. A healthy portion of that aerial production (92 yards to be exact) went to Cole Parry.

As for Central Cambria, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5. Things were looking grim for they in the second quarter (they were down by 21) but they stormed back to get the game.

Ryan Chappell produced another solid performance rushing for 208 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Central Cambria is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Cam Stevens, who picked up 78 receiving yards and one score.

Somerset has already played their next matchup, a 36-12 defeat against Central on the 24th. As for Central Cambria, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 21-0 loss against Bald Eagle Area on the 24th.
