Erie is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Thursday. They will head out to challenge the Fairview Knights at 7:00 p.m. Erie is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.

Fairview better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Erie's game last Tuesday is any indication, that's when Erie really gets things going. The Tigers blew past Prairie View 7-2. Meanwhile, Fairview faced Legacy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Knights and the Lightning finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw.

The win made it two in a row for Erie and bumps their season record up to 8-1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two matchups. Fairview's draw gives them a new season record of 6-3-2.
