Sheridan is 8-1 against West Muskingum since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Generals will host the Tornadoes at 5:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Sheridan has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while West Muskingum will arrive with three straight victories.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Sheridan's offense. They fell 4-0 to Tri-Valley on Tuesday.

James Solomon made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles.

Meanwhile, West Muskingum was able to grind out a solid win over Maysville on Tuesday, taking the game 12-9.

Wes Houston was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI and one double. Ashton Ansel was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one double.

West Muskingum always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

West Muskingum's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Sheridan, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Everything went Sheridan's way against West Muskingum when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Sheridan made off with a 12-2 win. Will the Generals repeat their success, or do the Tornadoes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
