Basketball Recap: Summit International Prep Comes Up Short

Summit International Prep lost against Ranchview back in February of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Summit International Prep Skyhawks were outmatched by the Ranchview Wolves and fell 68-41. While losing is never fun, the Skyhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1155th, while the Wolves are ranked 503rd).

Ranchview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden Carrathus, who went 5 for 11 en route to 15 points. Devin Scott was another key player, putting up 13 points and six assists.

Summit International Prep has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Ranchview, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-10.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing North Hills Prep the next time they take the court. Ranchview will host North Hills Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Summit International Prep will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st.
