Aitkin came out on top against East Central on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run second inning. The Gobblers blew past the Eagles 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Gobblers, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Drew Paulbeck, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Nolan Dotzler, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Aitkin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Central only posted an OBP of .118.

The win was the fourth in a row for Aitkin, bringing their record up to 8-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for East Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aitkin will challenge Mora at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Central, they will square off against Braham at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
