Volleyball Recap: Charleston Collegiate Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Charleston Collegiate Sundevils came up short against the Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders on Friday and fell 3-1. While the Sundevils didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Highlanders 25-18 in the first set.

Charleston Collegiate started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Charleston Collegiate still got an impressive performance from Vika Vuyiv, who had five kills, four digs, three aces, and one block. Vuyiv has been hot, having also posted 12 or more assists the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Evie Baslow, who had 13 kills, nine digs, two aces, and one block.

Charleston Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Heathwood Hall Episcopal, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-13.

Looking ahead, Charleston Collegiate will face off against Dorchester Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Heathwood Hall Episcopal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
