Basketball Recap: Spoto Extends Winning Streak to Three

Spoto waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 65-58 win over the Lakeland Christian Vikings.

Spoto got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jesse Harden out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Jalen Antonio was another key player, going 6 for 9 on his way to 16 points.

Spoto smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in November of 2023.

Lakeland Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colton Donahue, who posted 17 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Donohue, who had 16 points.

Spoto now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lakeland Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Spoto didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-44 loss against Plant City on the 3rd. As for Lakeland Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-66 defeat against Vanguard on the 2nd.
