Baseball Recap: Dekaney Takes a Loss

After flying high against MacArthur on Tuesday, Dekaney came back down to earth. The Wildcats lost 12-5 to the Generals on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered since February 21st.

Michael Hayes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Dekaney's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-2 (and 9-12 when he doesn't).

Dekaney has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-14 record this season. As for MacArthur, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.
