Soccer Recap: Kaiser Comes Up Short

Kaiser was the 5-0 winner over Colton when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Kaiser Cats fell just short of the Colton Yellowjackets by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cats came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 604th).

Kaiser's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-3. As for Colton, the victory got them back to even at 3-3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kaiser will challenge Summit at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Colton, they will face off against Jurupa Hills at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Colton's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
