Soccer Game Preview: Lisle vs. Peotone

The Lisle Lions will challenge the Peotone Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Lisle sitting on four straight wins and Peotone on seven.

Lisle is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Horizon Science Academy-Southwest an 11-0 shutout. Considering Lisle have won nine matchups by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Horizon Science Academy-Southwest from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Lily Rocha led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Peotone won against Manteno on Tuesday with two goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Friday. The Blue Devils beat Beecher by a goal, winning 2-1. That's two games straight that Peotone have won by just one goal.

Peotone's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Lisle, their win bumped their record up to 13-3-1.
