Softball Recap: Jacksonville's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pleasant Plains, Jacksonville was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the North Greene Spartans an 8-0 shutout. Considering the Crimsons have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

With the victory, Jacksonville broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-12-1. As for North Greene, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

Looking ahead, Jacksonville is taking a road trip to challenge Carlinville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Greene, they will welcome Barry Western at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
