Basketball Recap: Perrion 'Vegas' Carter Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Edgewood

The Gateway Charter Academy Gators earned a 50-41 victory over the Edgewood Bulldogs on Saturday.

Gateway Charter Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Perrion 'Vegas' Carter, who shot 64% from the field en route to 17 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Malich Esparza, who posted 15 points and three steals.

Gateway Charter Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Gateway Charter Academy will square off against Huntington at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Edgewood, they will welcome Blooming Grove at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
