Volleyball Game Preview: Alma Center Lincoln Hornets vs. Pepin/Alma Eagles

The Alma Center Lincoln Hornets will face off against the Pepin/Alma Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alma Center Lincoln is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Alma Center Lincoln didn't have quite enough to beat Independence/Gilmanton and fell 3-2.

Alma Center Lincoln actually scored more points across those five sets (103-100), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 24-26, 11-25, 15-9.

Pepin/Alma not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 2nd (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Melrose-Mindoro as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won four in a row.

Pepin/Alma never let Melrose-Mindoro on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22, 25-19.

Alma Center Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Pepin/Alma, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 11-9.
