Softball Game Preview: Cedar Park Timberwolves vs. Glenn Grizzlies

Cedar Park is 1-9 against Glenn since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Cedar Park Timberwolves will face off against the Glenn Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. Cedar Park will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Cedar Park came into this matchup off a tough eight-run defeat on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Lockhart by a score of 8-6 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Timberwolves have suffered since February 24, 2024.

Meanwhile, Glenn didn't have quite enough to beat Hays on Friday and fell 9-7. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addison Vargas was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Fuego Garcia, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Vargas wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Glenn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.

Glenn's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Cedar Park, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Cedar Park suffered a grim 15-4 defeat to Glenn in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Cedar Park avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
