Softball Recap: St. Ursula Academy Wins Going Away Against Bowsher

St. Ursula Academy came out on top against Bowsher on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive 12-run first inning. The Arrows put the hurt on the BlueRacers with a sharp 20-1 win. That looming 20-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Arrows yet this season.

Brooke Bowers was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-2. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Avah Santibanez also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: St. Ursula Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

St. Ursula Academy now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Bowsher, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, St. Ursula Academy will head out on the road to face off against Notre Dame Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bowsher, they will welcome Port Clinton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
