Basketball Recap: Canterbury's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

If Admiral Farragut wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Canterbury, they should've done a better job of containing MacKenzie Tucker. The Canterbury Crusaders put the hurt on the Admiral Farragut BlueJackets with a sharp 54-32 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Tucker, who posted 29 points. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Zy Alhuzaifi, who put up 25 points. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Canterbury's points.

Canterbury's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-5. As for Admiral Farragut, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Canterbury wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 46-40 victory against Academy at the Lakes on the 23rd. As for Admiral Farragut, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-16 defeat against Clearwater Central Catholic on the 22nd.
