Volleyball Recap: Avon Takes a Loss

Avon lost against Fishers back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Orioles lost 3-0 to the Tigers.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-8, 25-9.

James Butler paced Avon's offense, picking up five kills. Butler got some help from Isaac Hersam and his six assists.

Avon's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Fishers, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-2.

Coincidentally, Avon and Fishers will both be playing Center Grove the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Orioles will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
