Volleyball Recap: Sebastian River's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but Sebastian River unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Central Cobras by a score of 3-2. If the Sharks were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Cobras when the teams met back in September of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Sebastian River sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 13-25, 25-19, 18-25, 15-12.

Addison Muth paced Sebastian River's offense, picking up 14 kills. Muth got some help from Danielle Primavera and her 20 assists. Muth also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Addison Diaz, racking up four apiece.

Sebastian River's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Central, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sebastian River will face off against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central, they will square off against John Carroll Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
