Soccer Game Preview: Philip Barbour vs. North Marion

The Philip Barbour Colts will face off against the North Marion Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Having struggled with 15 defeats in a row, Philip Barbour turned things around against Nicholas County on Monday. They and the Grizzlies finished up their match with a 2-2 draw. The result was nothing new for Philip Barbour as the squad haven't won a game since August 20th.

Meanwhile, North Marion faced Lincoln in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Huskies lost 5-1 to the Cougars. The loss continues a trend for North Marion in their meetings with Lincoln: they've now lost four in a row.

North Marion's goal came courtesy of Briella Sphon, who's now up to seven this season.

North Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5-1. With that draw, Philip Barbour's record moves to 1-15-1.

Philip Barbour might still be hurting after the 7-2 loss they got from North Marion in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Colts were down 4-0.
