Baseball Recap: Frontier's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Frontier hadn't done well against Stockdale recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Titans came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 9-5. This was a revenge game for the Titans: when they faced off against the Mustangs on Tuesday, they had to take a 9-1 loss.

Mac Corpas tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. He is becoming a predictor of Frontier's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 2-1 (and 5-7-1 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, Frontier got a massive performance out of Ayden Francisco, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles Francisco has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of TJ Archuleta, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI.

Frontier kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are undefeated (3-0) when they post 11 or more hits.

The win snapped Frontier's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-8-1 record. As for Stockdale, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4-1.

Frontier will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
