Softball Recap: Montevallo Starts off Right with Win over Comer

Montevallo gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Comer Tigers 12-11. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Looking ahead, Montevallo will challenge Shelby County at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Comer, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Fayetteville at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
