Softball Recap: Keenan Raiders vs. Columbia Capitals
Keenan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 28-3 walloping at the hands of the Columbia Capitals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Keenan of the 22-11 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.
For Columbia's part, Ranyya Goldsmith made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off one hit. Goldsmith was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-2 with a stolen base and an RBI.
In other batting news, Tyona Evans was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.
