Basketball Recap: Diagonal Takes a Loss

Diagonal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They took a blow against the East Union Eagles, falling 78-39. The Maroons lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 49-45 score last time.

Diagonal's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for East Union, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-18.

Diagonal does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Union, they have already played their next game, a 77-34 defeat against Mount Ayr on the 7th.
