Football Recap: Summit Tigers vs. Glenwood Springs Demons
Summit kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 35-13 to the Glenwood Springs Demons. The Tigers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row dating back to last season.
Summit wouldn't let Glenwood Springs keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Sean Mullaly, Quinn Breigenzer, and Alejandro Baray-Jain picked up one apiece.
The win got Glenwood Springs back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summit will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Canon City at 7:00 p.m. on September 13th. As for Glenwood Springs, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Northridge at 1:00 p.m. Hopefully Glenwood Springs focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday.
