Basketball Recap: Reedsport Takes a Loss

Reedsport lost against Oakland back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Reedsport were dealt a 58-21 loss at the hands of the Oakland Oakers. While losing is never fun, Reedsport can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while Oakland is ranked 118th).

This is the second loss in a row for Reedsport and nudges their season record down to 2-15. As for Oakland, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-9.

Reedsport will head out to challenge Myrtle Point at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Myrtle Point will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Reedsport surely won't give up without a fight. Oakland has already played their next contest (against East Linn Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
