Baseball Game Preview: Bloomfield Cardinals vs. Linton-Stockton Miners

Bloomfield hasn't had much luck against Linton-Stockton recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Cardinals will be playing at home against the Miners at 5:30 p.m. Bloomfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Bloomfield didn't have quite enough to beat Barr-Reeve and fell 4-3.

Bloomfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Scott, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Linton-Stockton's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bloomington South on Wednesday. The Miners haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Linton-Stockton's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Bloomfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.

Bloomfield beat Linton-Stockton 10-5 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Cardinals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Miners turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
