Volleyball Recap: Erie Red Devils vs. Humboldt Cubs
Erie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Humboldt Cubs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cubs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-13.
Humboldt found their leader in freshman Brynna Ellis, who had eight digs and seven aces.
Erie now has a losing record of 16-17. As for Humboldt, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-9 record this season.
Erie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Neodesha on the 11th. As for Humboldt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Southeast on the 11th.
